We Can't Escape It . . .

Mold

It's just gross. Mold seems to follow us everywhere. I don't know if I blogged this, but when we moved out of our last apartment- when they took the bed away the wall behind the bed was COVERED in mold! I never saw it (I was working), but I guess it was pretty incredible. It makes me wonder if that's why I got asthma (because now it's mysteriously gone . . .) And then our bed situation when we moved here and now we found this behind a suitcase!!! I've never seen such drippy looking mold. It almost looks like art. It's just terrible! You think your house is spotless- than you move something and BAM! DISGUSTING!!! Thank goodness there were only a few little dots of mold on the suitcase. When we were first married I got a suitcase out of a closet to go camping with and BAM!!! Mold ALL OVER the front, INSIDE THE POCKETS, just everywhere! It was NASTY!!!! Actually, Yeah, there was another suitcase inside of it and a bag inside of that- all which the mold fought it's way thru to. Mold. I think unless we move to a desert it's just going to be apart of our life.

As for happier things . . .

This is our little tea pot. It can heat up cold water to a boil in 3 minutes and then if you need to reheat it takes 30 seconds. WE LOVE IT!!! That way if you want tea- you can just make some instead of waiting for the water to boil- or doing the microwave (which we don't even have). Greg and I have become tea drinkers. Everyone in Europe has one of these (but they have a big one). They are the coolest things ever. Greg and I were talking about needing one once we get home- but Greg found this one and it adapts to a U.S socket all by itself! So we're bringin' this baby home.


This is another thing the U.S is missing . . .

I don't really understand it, but it's half baked bread. It will stay fresh in the package for a few MONTHS and then when you want bread you just bake it for 8 minutes and you have WARM, FRESH bread or rolls. It's awesome because they don't have a lot of packaged bread here- it's all fresh from the bakery- but then the next day it's stale- so we never had bread. But this is AWESOME!!! And sooooooooooo delicious! We discovered it over Christmas! And you can just take what you want out of the package. Like you can just make 4 rolls instead of a dozen and then have fresh rolls again the next day.

Greg and I have been couch POTATOES and literally watching hours of UGLY BETTY everysingle night. We don't do anything else. 2 nights ago we realized it's becoming a problem and said we couldn't do it anymore, but . . . it's still kind of happening. But has anyone seen UGLY BETTY? In a week it has become my favorite show. MOM- you will like this show!!!

Greg finally started school again. He's in class right now. It's been so long that I've ever been home and he's not. I forget that it's kind of nice and I get more done (like cleaning mold)

All my sickness is finally gone. It lingered FOREVER!!! We're doing well.
