Catch Up Time

Finally have some pics that happened a long time ago- both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Here are some pics of both trips.

First: Thanksgiving Arnold Family Reunion 2010
Since Greg couldn't get away from work, we had to include him!

My brother and sisters- Amy, Me, Rebecca, Jake, Lizzie and Danielle
Grandma and Grandpa and the grandkids.

At this point in time, Scarlet was still eating round the clock, so I was up early, early- before even the kids! But once I was up, they all walked in, one by one and we all watched a claymation Christmas movie I had never seen before. This was the first morning. I hadn't seen anyone yet, because we arrived around midnight, the night before. From left to right-
Aliese, Gracie, Miles, Me, Scarlet, Tanner, Anna and Kate
Aliese
Rebecca, Jake and Steve (Rebecca's fiance!)
Seeing the boys talk made me wish Greg was there!
Mom and Aliese- so cute!
Amy- I'm pretty sure she wore this outfit, every single day.
Dad
Ah, Dad holding Kate
This was the first time I got to meet little Elle. I never even got to hold her! I'm not one to push myself onto kids. So if they're crying, or pull away, I won't force it. And she was feeling shy, so I thought I'd work my way there. But then the whole week was so busy with pumping, feeding Scar and trying to talk to everyone, suddenly time passed and I never held her! Sad!
Beautiful Lizzie, hosted the whole event. Poor thing. Everyone was asking her questions, left and right. I would have gone insane. Next reunion, Greg and I are in charge- so I'll probly get a taste of it.
Aliese, I believe, decorated the table for Thanksgiving. It looked BEAUTIFUL. Really. She did such a good job.
Mom and Scarlet
Gracie, Dad and Elle
Mom feeding Scar
Kate watching.
Lyndsey
Anna
Little Scarlet- she's so much bigger now!
Thanksgiving meal. Mmmm . . . it was good. Left to right-
Lyndsey, Jake, Steve, Rebecca, Dad, Mom, Me, Shad and Lizzie. Where the heck are Clay, Danielle, Mike and Amy? Was there another table I don't remember?
I completely remember eating at the kiddie table and I always loved it.
Beautiful Danielle took all the pictures! Thank you Danielle!
There was a lot of lounging on the couch.
I liked this pic of Clay.
Super cute!
Beautiful Momma!
And Gracie is just cute as can be.
Ruby, Danielle and Kate
Tanner and Anna
Miles is so full of fun and never slows down.
Jake
Danielle and Clay
Miles
Gracie and Anna
Elle
Dad and Gracie playing.

Tanner talking to Scarlet.

Poor Kate was sick and I really didn't want Scarlet to catch it. I felt so bad, it seemed I was always telling Kate to step farther away or something.

Christmas Week:

Lots of siblings were able to make it for Christmas, which was great.

Shannon
Chris LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED Scarlet. Did I emphasize that? LLLLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEDDDDD!!!!!!!!
He always wanted to hold her. It was adorable and I loved it.

The Jentzsches always draw names and Mellissa drew Scarlet's. She made her a stocking! How creative and thoughtful!!! Greg and I really like it. As you can see, Scarlet's pretty pumped about it too!
Then it was off to Mom and Dad's, well my Mom and Dad. It was pretty cute to watch Dad with Scarlet. He was always wanting to hold her too.

Scarlet's wearing some of her new digs from Grandma and Grandpa. Really cute fleece outfits. Hopefully I can just copy the pattern when she outgrows them and make some a little bigger.

Mom and Scarlet

It was really nice to be there. Things at Mom and Dad's are always really low key and relaxed. Sometimes you just need that, y'know? We got to try out our new DVD player. Clearplay. It edits movies for you. IT IS AWESOME!!!! Chris drew Greg's name, for Christmas, so he got us a bunch of rated R movies! So funny. But he got us Defiance and it was sooooooo good. I am soooooo glad we got that player. It is awesome. We also watched Slumdog Millionaire. Yeah, pretty sure I would've hated that movie, unedited. Yikes.

By chance, Chris and Laurel got to come with us to the beach. It was fun! Greg, particularly didn't get a lot of time with them since he had to work while they were here. Chris got to spend more time with Scarlet . . .
She really loved Chris! She smiled right away with him. Normally, it takes her awhile to warm up to people. I'd never seen her take to someone like she did Chris!

Down to the beach!
These two have such a good time together. They can talk about everything. It's funny, certain things Greg will tell me, and I just don't think they're funny. But these two, they have the same sense of humor and can laugh about the same things over and over again. It's pretty funny to listen to them.

I was SO EXCITED for Scarlet's first time on the beach. Um . . . yeah . . . her face was buried in the moby wrap the entire time. Oh well, next time.
Cute, cute. Married 8 months? I don't know.
Taking pics with Mom's camera made me REALLY want one of my own.
It was fun! I kept taking different shots, feeling all artsy!
We found this mini waterfall that was really cool!
Back home.

Looks peaceful, huh? WRONG!!! Cold, strong winds and then it HAILED!!! So for 5 minutes we had these hail bits pinging into our calves and butts and it HURT!!!! I was glad Scar was tucked away in the moby.

On the drive back, we stopped in Eugene to eat Belgian waffles at Off the Waffle. AMAZING. I mean A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I had a waffle that had bacon, basil, maple syrup and cheese. Basil on a waffle?! Who would ever put that combo together? It was incredible! Who knew! I was literally freaking out. I think I may have embarrassed Chris and Laurel. I can be pretty expressive when I feel that good. You just can't keep it in. Food gets me that way. I couldn't stop talking about it. Each bite, I just kept repeating myself, "Ah, this is amazing!" I approached the owner to tell him how amazing it was and thanked him. Really, incredible experience. I will never forget. Please, just for me, stop in this incredible place if you ever pass Eugene. You will love it.

It was quite a drive for little Scarlet, but she did really well. The last hour, though, she was done with it and wanted OUT. It felt good to be home and done with the holidays.

I love the pictures, so much fun, and a wonderful post. I think Scarlet likes men a lot, or at least she seems to. She loved poppi and smiled the whole time he held her. I am so glad you got to stop and see us for awhile. Loved holding her, she is the sweetest. Hugs
