Brighton has been very off and on with his food eating. It's been frustrating. I don't care about the food part as much as the "maybe if you ate more, you'd sleep more" idea. Then Greg offered him a straw and it went from begging him to eat a teaspoon to a fourth cup in one sitting! Crazy! He doesn't ALWAYS do that, and sometimes he still just isn't interested. He has been sleeping SO MUCH BETTER these days, food or no food. So I'm not so worried about it anymore. Before he got sick he slept 11 hours straight!!! And every night the last 2 weeks he slept until 5am or later. YES!!! This is what I've been waiting for.

Greg started making maps for Scarlet of the house and then they go treasure hunting. It is the best. This one was in the dark with a head lamp. They found puzzle pieces and put the puzzle together.

This is singing the "We Did It!" song from Dora. We usually sing it after the treasure hunt.

This one was finding parts of Mr. Potato Head.

Mr. Cuteness. Did I mention he popped out his first tooth a couple weeks ago? It's on the bottom.

Now we are all sick. It started with Scarlet, then Brighton and as of yesterday night we are ALL now sickies. No fun. Scarlet is feeling better though. She's definitely past the hump. Brighton just refuses to sleep more than 30 minutes (except at night, thank goodness). Poor thing just popped another tooth during all of it.

Scarlet is pretty much showing no symptoms of lyme. It's pretty awesome. Her next appointment is in a couple weeks and I can't wait to talk to her doctor about how she's doing and hear about the final stages of her treatment.

With her back to normal, she has been getting into so much mischief! Almost constantly! And she keeps getting hurt! Because she's been so much more active! It's been unique in that I don't love her disobeying and getting into this and that, but I love that she's doing everything that every other toddler does! This makes me so happy I cry!

More than her behavior, we see it in her face. Her countenance completely changes when she's not feeling well to her symptom free days. It is obvious. And even when we all got this bug and she was looking like the picture above, we could still tell she wasn't showing symptoms. Even though she was sick and feeling crappy it was DIFFERENT. It's like she's had clouds covering her light all year long and now she's bright and shining and nothing's blocking her out.

So even though we're sick, we're doing good :)

great blog! Those little kiddles are soooo cute! That is cool that Greg makes treasure maps. I'm so sad you have all been sick, no fun. Your dad commented on how well Scarlet is talking. That is so funny about Brighton and the straw. I think the whole spoon idea is tricky for them. Thak you for blogging even though you are sick. Love you!!!

Sorry to hear that you had the bug. I hate being sick, and I am not very patient with it. I love that Greg made maps and did a treasure hunt, so fun. Scarlet is so darn cute, and that little boy is following right behind such a handsome kid. Love that he ate with a straw. Hugs and kisses and thanks for posting I so enjoy watching the growing process. LOL

Hey Megan! I as well, am happy to hear Scarlet is doing so much better :) She and Brighton are really cute! The first video Brighton looks a lot like Scarlet in, I think! It's going to be great to get all the cousins together soon! I love treasure hunts too, I just did one for Jeff on Valentine's day.

I just love the map idea!! I will definitely have to try that one with Cami. I'm glad Scarlet is feeling so much better, sounds like she's back to being a busy toddler.
