I watched the Macy's Day Parade for the very first time in my life. I realize everyone on the planet, well maybe just on U.S soil, participates in this tradition and I never understood why. It was so fun! Man, parades can get so crazy! And by crazy I mean elaborate and over the top! I think I'm going to be joining the throng for this Thanksgiving tradition now.
We drove to Greg's cousins Heather and Mike's house. They happen to have a huge room full of balance beams, mattresses and all sorts of pads, and a bar to twirl on. Needless to say, there was a lot of playing around and "being a kid again" going on. Throughout the night many ended up with wigs on singing karaoke. We finished the night with turning out the lights and playing sardines (in a house I'd never been in before.) It was very fun. And very loud. We drove home to Greg's parents and spent the rest of the weekend there. Of course, the next day the boys played paintball all day and I watched a lot of Gilmore Girls. A huge party, not including myself, went to the Slick Cart Track to race go carts- while I continued to watch Gilmore Girls. Which brings me to . . .
I love Gilmore Girls. I finished the last season just a couple hours ago and I'm still feeling emotional. I was very teary through the last episodes. And I've decided I'm going to have to own them all someday. They simply warm my heart.

Oh how I understand about Gilmore Girls. They are wonderful! That's nice that you had those to watch instead of paintballing. I like your new color scheme! It makes me want to change mine too. I love you and miss you!!!!
That sounds like a way fun weekend! You guys did so much...played games, watched parades, paintballing, sardines. I'm jealous. I feel like I was totally lazy and laid around the house all weekend. Which in a way was nice, but different from my usual Thanksgivings.

How did you get the last season of Gilmore Girls? Sounds like a really fun weekend, and relaxing at the same time. Those are the best kind. I LOVE that your blog looks Christmasy.

Oh I LOVE GG too. It was so sad that it ended! I still believe that Stars Hollow exists and all is well.
Anyway sounds like your T-day was a lot funner than mine!
I have been mourning the loss of GG for awhile now. Luckily, Pushing Daisies has similar banter in their dialogue which I LOVE. And then there was an episode of pushing daisies that had the characters running through Stars Hollow (only it wasn't supposed to be Stars Hollow). It made me miss GG.
Megan, Yes the Macy's parade is over the top, and wonderful. Parades always remimd me of Evelyn, Grandma on the hill, she always found the parades. We always went to the one in Spfd when Santa came when the kids were small, and she was always in front cheering.There was one in Red Bluff CA. at Rodeo time in July,and when we were there into the car and away we would go to the parade. She loved baseball also,besides the flowers,gardens,and shopping. I always miss her at this time of year. There was the candy making and the decorating, the garden club bazar and SHOPPING!!! Did I mention shopping she loved it. Now I can't shop til I drop anymore. I truly miss those days. She had her brother play Santa once for all of you kids, I don't know if you were old enough to remember. It was fun. I haven't ever seen Gilmore girls. What have I been missing??? I could check to see if they are at the Creswell Library. Love you oodles and bunches grandma
