So, strange as it may be, I lost my last baby tooth this week. One of my molars never had an adult tooth underneath. So my body (knowing this) held on to my baby tooth these 26 long years and it started to get a little loose a few months ago. The last couple weeks it started giving me pain so it was time to come out. It was so good to get out. It feels better. Before my dentist appointment I was really tempted to try and pull it out myself. I'd pulled previous baby teeth w/o dentist's help, so I felt confident enough, but decided not to be stupid, and let a professional do the job. The best option would be to get an implant (which really freaks me out because it's implanted into your jaw bone- YIKES!) but it's a 3-6 month process so I'm not even a candidate, considering our situation. So my option is getting a bridge. But I figure, this way 2 extra molars get to be capped, which in a dentist's eyes is a bad thing- but in my eyes it's 2 whole teeth I never have to worry about again. They can't get cavities if they're capped, right? I'm a little prone to cavities. This bridge business is taking longer than I expected as well. I'll be getting the final stages of it done exactly one week before we fly away! Pretty crazy! Just in time! Well anyway, just thought I'd share.

TO be honest that whole post grossed me out though, I can't handle teeth, or anything having to do with them. I was cringing the whole time. But, I'm glad you're getting it taken care of before you move...that's a relief!

Ha ha I loved this post! How bizarre! Kind of like my sister who never lost the last bit of her own umbilical cord until she was 7 months pregnant w/her first daughter (when her belly button protruded enough for it to pop out)! Well, that's actually quite gross, but it's kind of comparable, right? :) he he!
