WRONG. Something is pooping in our front yard. 3 dumps in the same 5 square feet within a WEEK. We have a problem on our hands. I don't want this to become a routine. Me cleaning up the feces of some mysterious animal. It's just not right. What am I supposed to do? But now every week we mow the lawn and I have to take it out of the way before I do. I usually see it there and just leave it for a few days 'till I HAVE to remove it, but by then it has dried and gotten all STUCK IN THE GRASS and it's difficult to remove. DISGUSTING!!! Today, there was TWO piles and one was practically impossible to remove that I pretty much left it there. Did you KNOW that poop can get STUCK in the grass? Probably, because it seems that 90% of the world has a dog. There are also these mysterious BROWN SPOTS in the same area and now I'm convinced that whatever it is peed there and is RUINING OUR BRAND NEW LAWN!!! We just put in a ton of sod and it didn't come cheap and now it's just the dumping ground for some ANIMAL. It bugs me. Why did I pay a lot of money just to have a glorious throne for some animal to crap on?! That's NOT why I did it.
Anyway. Hopefully nobody hates me for not loving animals. Well my swelling went down and suddenly I felt attractive and skinny again. I think I was swollen everywhere. I had completely forgotten how small my feet really were. However, at my doc appointment, we established that I've gained 33 pounds since I got pregnant. Yeah, that's a little much for still having 2 months left. I don't know what to say about that. I really want to take a picture to see if what I'm seeing in the mirror is what the rest of the world is seeing, because I still think I look great, but maybe it's in my head. I HAVE been pigging out a lot these days. So the last week I've loved having my unswollen self back, but now I have this mysterious rash. I can't figure out what it's from. All these wonderful things I'm blogging about today! Megan exposed! So I LOVE my new doctor and am SOOOOO glad I switched.
Greg's home for a week. It's been nice having him around, though I haven't seen him NEAR as much as I thought I would. Life is SOOO busy. I wish it would slow down. There's always something to buy, something to research BEFORE we buy. Something to return, something to blah blah blah. It's annoying. I wish we could just HANG OUT, but it seems there's never time.
I've officially decided. I'm not going to work when the baby comes. It was just a stupid idea. I don't NEED to work. It was purely for my own benefit. Well it's like this. I'm not anymore, but ever since I nannied, I've been TERRIFIED to stay at home 100%. There was a time when I nannied and I sunk into this intense depression and all I did was cry and sleep. It was bad. So I was very concerned this would happen again. I knew I didn't want to work more than 6 hours a week, just something to get away. An outlet. Because in my mind, a happy mommy is a happy baby and I figured this was a good way to keep me happy. Meanwhile, I've been stressing out trying to figure out HOW to even work one day a week. Greg's schedule will completely change every month for the first four months. So that effects things. Then I was thinking how Greg's gonna probably have a funky night shift for the first bunch of years so when he's home I want him to be HOME and not have to run errands and do chores. I want it to be FAMILY TIME. But if I have to work, even one day a week, that's just THAT MUCH MORE I have to cram into the week. Who wants to cram? The experience that sealed the deal was when I went to my friend Micheala's and took one look at her little 6 week old in her crib, just hangin' out, and I thought, "Why would I want to leave this? Am I crazy? I'm going to want to leave even LESS when it's my own." And that was it. It took a couple days to sink in, but I feel better and better and BETTER about it as each day passes. The thought of work just STRESSED ME OUT. It's so much simpler to just not work. Thank goodness, Greg feels the same way and I'm so glad. He supported me either way. I think he was a little worried about me to, because of what happened before. But the thing is, it's my own fault if I never leave the house and "let myself go". I CAN get out and go on walks. I CAN go visit friends. I don't have to not have a life and only change diapers. I just need to do it. And honestly, who has ever said, "I really wish I would have worked when my kids were small." I couldn't count how many times people have told me, "I wish I could have stayed home. They're only small once. It goes so fast." I'm just really glad I can. It really is a blessing.
Well that's the latest. We bought a camera today so some pics should be coming. Ta ta!

man, when did you post all this- i checked every day and finally gave up because you stopped posting- and now you've psoted 3 times! - good post. I already knew everythign- except the poop! is it dog poop? is someone \letting their dog poop in your yard?
The pee spots will totally ruin the grass and it won't really grow back. We have to give our dog pee pills that help eliminate the kill the grass problem. I believe it is iron that you can put on those spots to neutralize them and reseed the area. That totally stinks. You need to figure out which dog is doing that andd fling the stuff back in their yard. :)
I am so glad I'm not the only dog nonlover. Unfortunately I married a dog lover and tried to get used to the idea of having a dog but really there is NO way I would be happy. I really don't understand why someone would want a smelly, slobbering animal shedding all over the house, chewing up their stuff AND ruining the yard so you wouldn't want your kids to play out there. I mean really?! I just don't get it. I was afraid of them too. One of my friends had a dog that lunged at me and bit me in the face! You know one of those dogs that "wouldn't hurt a flea." People are dillusional about their dogs. Fortunately Rob says we don't have to get one. My parents would always have people leave dog poo out in front of their house. I stepped in it more than once getting into my car since I park on the street. I really wanted to put spikes or something like that in the grass...is that wrong?
Sorry about the rant.
You look super cute pregnant. I would not have guessed you have gained 33. The first time around they wanted me to gain 40. I ate a ton of good food and think I only gained 20...then lost 40 while nursing. So this last time I ate whatever I wanted to!!! I was really worried nursing wouldn't work out and I would have to lose it the hard way.
I'm in the same boat about not wanting to leave kids to work. I hear of people that go back early instead of waiting out their maternity leave though. Work stresses me out. It was really hard to go back and sub for a hand full of days. And she was 10? months I think. So sad.
Rob and I decided we love the big age gap between the girls because Danica helped me out soooo much when pregnant and after the baby was born. She was my little slave, err, I mean helper.
